OFFICE OF SUB DIVISIONAL MAGISTRATE (RUPNAGAR)
Transparency, public participation and empowerment of the masses, are the cornerstones of Governmental functioning. Information in the public domain is very important in order to achieve these goals. This compilation of information regarding the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Rupnagar's office, is in pursuance of the same. We have enlisted the various functions of the office, various powers vested in the same, the budget, details of staff, list of beneficiaries etc. This is an attempt to fulfill our statutory obligation under sec 4(2) of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
This endeavor at the sub division level is an important step towards making citizens aware of the duties & functions of the SDM.
